I have been very impressed by this salon. My hair is very fine and can be quite difficult to manage, after my fair share of hair disasters elsewhere,I will be recommending Hairy Canary to my friends and colleagues. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, and I love the highlights I have had done by Autumn.The colours are very natural and a much better result than I have had before. Autumn is also very friendly and chatty, making it a really relaxing experience.

I went there recently and had my hair done by a trainee (by request as I wanted a cut at a much reduced price). I had my hair highlighted and cut (in two visits). I LOVED the result. Do not hesitate to ask for a trainee to do your hair at this place, it is supervised by Lulu, who is brilliant. I really enjoy going to Hairy Canary - I see either Bryn or Lulu and they always do an amazing job, even when I dash in because I have been surprised by a special event the next day. I took a very anxious friend in to have a restyle and they did an amazing job on her very long hair.

My daughter recently married and her hair was styled at Hairy Canary. She looked lovely, as did all three bridesmaids, and though I say it myself - mine too! There had been a crisis during the week because a professional hairdresser local to where I live had coloured one of the bridesmaids hair leaving a green hue! The cut was very disappointing too. Hairy Canary to the rescue! They went out of their way to sort out the problems with an 'emergency' two hour appointment which took them past their usual closing time. The next day they did a great job of cutting and highlighting my hair too - even though the appointment was last minute - I didn't fancy going to our local hairdresser after my daughter's experience! I'll be making the 50 mile round trip for my next haircut. I found the staff professional, polite, courteous - and offer a great cup of tea too!

I have difficult hair. It frizzes in the rain and damp and needs sensitive handling. Hairy Canary has been the answer. Their treatment of their customers is excellent. It begins with a reminder of the forthcoming appointment by phone and is then followed by a warm welcome from friendly staff. I have had numerous successful haircuts and several treatments to relax my hair (a most liberating experience!) Prices are very reasonable (cheap by todays standards) and I have unhesitatingly recommended this salon to friends - who all share my enthusiasm for this impresssive salon.

"Have to agree with Claire. Moved to Cambridgeshire two years ago, and have tried numerous hairdressers, but still ended up going back to London. I dread having my hair cut; I just resort to the pony tail or bun when it grows beyond control, just saves months of bad hair days on the back of poor cuts. That was until I went to Hairy Canary and Lulu cut my hair. Now I can wear my hair down with pride, and I've also managed to pick up new drying techniques to make the most of my wavy hair. Hairy Canary is in a brilliant location, (easy parking in the Grand Arcade), and the salon is upbeat and very down to earth. This is what hairdressers should be like! Thanks Hairy Canary and Lulu. "
